Biography

I have been an NHS Consultant at Liverpool Women's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since 2012.

I am the Clinical Director for Gynaecology at Liverpool Women's Hospital and the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists Training Program Director for Urogynaecology in Merseyside.

I am the former Clinical Lead Urogynaecologist; as well as Director of Medical Education; and Clinical Governance Lead for the Trust.

I have introduced a number of innovative services to the Trust, including Laparoscopic & Robotic Urogynaecology, as well as ambulatory Botox treatment for Overactive Bladder.

I have served in National and International committees in organisations such as the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG); the British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG) and the International Urogynaecology Association (IUGA).

I treat women affected by a wide range of gynaecological conditions including, but not limited to, menstrual disorders, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, endometriosis and pelvic pain.

I have particular expertise in pelvic floor dysfunction and urogenital conditions such as vaginal prolapse, stress urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, recurrent urinary tract infections, bladder pain syndrome (previously known as interstitial cystitis), and voiding difficulties, amongst other.

I have published my research on several aspects of Gynaecology and Urogynaecology in peer-reviewed journals and have presented it at National and International Conferences.
